Golf is one of the most popular sports in the Algarve. With its sunny, warm and fresh breezes from the Atlantic the Algarve provides an excellent climate for those to play. Built in harmony with the natural environment and suitable for golfers of all abilities, the courses offer ideal conditions for golfing holidays. The Algarve offers over 20 courses for players to use, stretching from Castro Marim in the East right over to Parque da Floresta in the west.

Tennis is on hand in the centre of the resort. The Vale do Lobo Tennis Academy is one of the finest facilities of its kind in Europe. The 14 hard courts (4 of which are the new Savanah artificial grass) are set in a pine clad amphitheatre overlooked by the superb Clubhouse. It is difficult to find a more relaxing and picturesque setting to enjoy a game of tennis.

Beach sports are located along the beach from Vale do Lobo to Quinta do Lago. On offer are Jet skis, donuts, banana boats and for the more daring parasailing.

Horse riding and treking is available from several riding centres in the Almancil area. Many offer lessons to all ages and skill from Multi-lingual British Horse Society qualified staff.

Sight seeing is a must for those interested in the Algarve's culture and scenery. Bus tours and coach trips depart daily from either one of the resorts hotels or the nearby town of Almancil. However the best way is to hire a car and venture out yourself.
